In München feiert man das Oktoberfest? Nicht nur, denn MAN feiert auch ein bisschen die Weltpremiere des neuen Lion’s Coach E. Die Busworld startet in einer Woche, es ist an der Zeit, die Omnibusse nach Brüssel zu bringen! Jetzt MAN hat den neuen BEV-Reisebus in München verladen und ist auf dem Weg in die belgische Hauptstadt. Bis zum 3. Oktober um 14:30 Uhr wird man sich gedulden müssen, erst dann wird das Design im Rahmen der Pressekonferenz enthüllt werden…

Erste neue Gestaltungselemente sind aber schon hier auf dem Foto zu entdecken, man muss nur genau hinschauen! Schaut guad aus, oder? 3,9m lang, 2,55m breit und 3,9m hoch – diese Maße sind, genau wie der Radstand (6.6m/1.4m und 22,25m Wendekreis) bekannt. Das sind die Werte vom Lion’s Coach L! Dieser stand Pate, um den BEV-Reisebus zu realisieren, wie Barbaros Oktay, der als Head of Bus die Leitung der Bereiche Entwicklung, Produktion und Vertrieb Bus bei MAN Truck & Bus verantwortet, im Gespräch mit omnibus.news erklärt.

Hier unterscheide sich der Reisebus mit Elektroantrieb nicht vom Diesel-Pendant. Auch nicht mit Blick auf die Fahrgäste: 61+1+1 Personen können an Bord kommen, für sie gibt es elf Kubikmeter Gepäckvolumen, maximal sind es 13 Kubikmeter (inklusive rund zwei Kubikmetern in den Gepäckablagen). Aber beim Design, das ist und bleibt ein im wahrsten Sinne spannendes Thema! Schon die Seitengrafik lässt erahnen, wohin die Reise geht. Neugierig? Oktoberfest is celebrated in Munich? Not only that, because MAN is also celebrating the world premiere of the new Lion’s Coach E. Busworld starts in a week, so it’s time to bring the buses to Brussels! MAN has now loaded the new BEV coach in Munich and is on its way to the Belgian capital. We’ll have to wait until October 3rd at 2:30 p.m., before the design will be unveiled at the press conference… The first new design elements can already be seen in this photo; you just have to look closely!

Looks good, doesn’t it? 3.9 m long, 2.55 m wide, and 3.9 m high – these dimensions are known, as is the wheelbase (6.6 m/1.4 m and 22.25 m turning circle). These are the specifications of the Lion’s Coach L! This served as the inspiration for the BEV coach, as Barbaros Oktay, Head of Bus and responsible for Bus Development, Production, and Sales at MAN Truck & Bus, explains in an interview with omnibus.news. In this respect, the electric coach is no different from its diesel counterpart.

This is also true of the passengers: 61+1+1 people can board, with eleven cubic meters of luggage space, and a maximum of 13 cubic meters (including around two cubic meters in the luggage racks).
