Die Busbranche ist im Wandel, wer hätte noch vor wenigen Jahren gedacht, einen Elektrobus aus Vietnam in Europa zu sehen? Heute nicht nur möglich, sondern auch bald schon gelebter Alltag, wie die Premiere von VinFast auf der Busworld 2025 zeigt. In Europa sind E-Pkw von VinFast schon erhältlich, es wurden mehrere Initiativen gestartet, um die Präsenz auszubauen. Nun kommen auch noch Elektro-Omnibusse hinzu. Auch für sie gilt, dass sie von einem erstklassigen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sowie Service und Support profitieren, wie Patrick Oosterveld, Director of Sales eBus VinFast Nederland, im Gespräch mit omnibus.news erklärt.

VinFast hat sich schon vor Jahren – im Zusammenhang mit dem Pkw-Geschäft – um den Aufbau eines europäischen Servicenetzes, Garantien und Over-the-Air-Updates, gekümmert. So sei nun die Betriebssicherheit gewährleistet, sagt Patrick Oosterveld. Mit zwei Elektrobussen tritt VinFast auf der Busworld an, ein Midi namens EB 8 und ein klassischer 12-Meter-Wagen namens EB 12. Beide Fahrzeuge seien eigens für den europäischen Markt ausgestattet worden, der EB 12 sei auch schon homologiert, so Osterveld. Und ein Preis stehe auch so fest, je nach Ausstattung liege man bei 400.000 Euro für den 12m Solowagen. Dafür seien dann auch Akkus von CATL oder Gotion mit Kapazität von 422 kWh mit an Bord.

Ob Fahrerarbeitsplatz oder eine komfortable Ausstattung des Fahrgastraumes, VinFast hat für die Elektrobusse für Europa die Messelatte selbst sehr hochgelegt, um von Anfang an zu überzeugen, so Osterveld. Was für die Pkw von VinFast gilt, werde auch für die E-Busse angeboten. Ob planbare Wartung oder schnelle Hilfe im Ernstfall – VinFast biete nach Aussagen von Osterveld einen bequemen Zugang zu Servicezentren in ganz Europa sowie ein Netzwerk zertifizierter Karosseriepartner für Reparaturen nach Herstellerstandard. Alles rund um den Elektrobus werde ganz einfach über die VinFast App oder mit dem VinFast Support Team geklärt.

Auch bei den technischen Details mache VinFast im Vergleich zum Wettbewerb keine Abstriche und müsse den Vergleich nicht scheuen, so Patrick Oosterveld. Mit Lucas scheut heute übrigens auch die 3. Generation der Macher der Busworld das Licht der Öffentlichkeit nicht und bringt sich tatkräftig ein, wie jetzt in Brüssel zu sehen ist. Und auch er weiß um den besonderen Stellenwert der im Jahr 1971 in Kortrijk auf einer Fläche von 500 Quadratmetern als „Car et Bus“ ins Leben gerufenen Messe. Über die Premiere von VinFast auf der Busworld 2025 freut sich der Enkel des Gründers, zeige sie doch, dass die Busfamilie eine globale sei. (Busworld/omnibus.news/Sr)

The bus industry is undergoing a transformation. Who would have thought just a few years ago that they would see an electric bus from Vietnam in Europe? Today, this is not only possible, but will soon be a reality, as demonstrated by VinFast’s premiere at Busworld 2025. VinFast’s electric cars are already available in Europe, and several initiatives have been launched to expand their presence. Now electric buses are also being added to the mix. These, too, benefit from a first-class price-performance ratio as well as service and support, as Patrick Oosterveld, Director of Sales eBus VinFast Nederland, explains in an interview with omnibus.news.

Years ago, VinFast – in connection with its passenger car business – took care of establishing a European service network, guarantees, and over-the-air updates. This now ensures operational reliability, says Patrick Oosterveld. VinFast will be exhibiting two electric buses at Busworld: a midi-bus called the EB 8 and a traditional 12-meter bus called the EB 12. Both vehicles have been specially equipped for the European market, and the EB 12 has already been homologated, according to Osterveld. And the price has already been set: depending on the configuration, the 12-meter solo bus will cost €400,000. Batteries from CATL or Gotion with a capacity of 422 kWh will also be on board.

Whether it’s a driver’s workstation or comfortable passenger compartment features, VinFast has set the bar very high for its electric buses for Europe in order to impress from the start, says Osterveld. What applies to VinFast’s passenger cars will also be offered for its e-buses. Whether it’s scheduled maintenance or rapid assistance in an emergency – according to Osterveld, VinFast offers convenient access to service centers throughout Europe, as well as a network of certified bodywork partners for repairs according to manufacturer standards. Everything related to the electric bus is easily handled via the VinFast app or with the VinFast support team.

Even when it comes to technical details, VinFast doesn’t compromise on the competition and doesn’t have to shy away from comparison, says Patrick Oosterveld. Incidentally, Lucas, the third generation of Busworld’s founders, isn’t afraid of the public eye and is actively involved, as can be seen now in Brussels. He, too, recognizes the special significance of the trade fair, which was launched in 1971 in Kortrijk on an area of 500 square meters as „Car et Bus.“ The founder’s grandson is delighted about VinFast’s premiere at Busworld 2025, as it demonstrates that the bus family is a global one.
